2. Product Use & Safety Requirements
The BikeCarGo Explorer is a specialized piece of equipment designed exclusively for transporting front-loader cargo bicycles. To ensure the safety of yourself, your vehicle, and other road users, you agree to the following strict operational requirements:
-
Two-Person Lift: Do not attempt alone.
-
Prepare the Bike: Adjust or lighten the cargo bike beforehand to ensure it is comfortable and manageable for both you and your partner.
- Speed Limits: You agree not to exceed the maximum rated transport speed of 100 kph (62 mph) while the carrier is loaded.
- Proper Securing: You are entirely responsible for ensuring the bicycle is correctly mounted. This includes fully hand-tightening fasteners, securing the rear wheel, and properly pre-tensioning the front ratchet strap.
- Routine Checks: You agree to pull over and inspect the tightness of all mounting hardware, straps, and roof rack connections after the first 50 km of driving, and periodically thereafter during long trips.
3. Vehicle Compatibility and Load Limits
You are solely responsible for verifying that your vehicle and its roof rack system are compatible with the BikeCarGo Explorer and the weight of your cargo bike.
- Dynamic Roof Limits: You must consult your vehicle manufacturer and roof rack manufacturer to confirm your dynamic roof load limit (typically 75 kg).
- Overloading: BikeCargo.shop assumes no liability for damage to your vehicle, roof rails, or crossbars caused by exceeding your vehicle's maximum rated load limit.
